Christmas Dates in Pattaya

Hi, I'd like to know what's the dates Christmas is celebrated in Pattaya? I'll be in Pattaya in December and hope to experience some of that Christmas Magic, I know since COVID the past few years has been a muted affair, is it expected to be big this year?

Lots of European countries celebrate on the 24th while the English speaking world celebrate on the 25th so you get to do two days in a row if you like.

And quite a few do it later, early January.....here in Pattaya it is mostly as per UK/USA Dec 24th/25th.... but the decorations hang around a long time after.

It's down to you and your social group when you want to celebrate; there's no official Christmas here anyway.

If you're looking to have a traditional anglo Christmas dinner then the American, British and Irish places will most probably be serving on 25th. I would guess Scandinavian places will do their thing on 24th.

If you're just looking to have a few beers with some girls in santa hats then probably anytime late December would be just fine.

Yep, in many places they're never taken down.

Christmas magic in Pattaya?

Go to the mall and enjoy the plastic trees and plastic decorations?

Jingle bells, White Christmas, Rudolf..., Feliz Navidad etc. etc. basically 24/7 from some squeaky speakers. Clerks in convenience stores/malls and bar girls with funny Santa hats?

Drives me insane.

As others wrote: look for Christmas dinner of your choice/nationality.

But that's it.

Don't forget that there is no public holidays for Christmas.

Business as usual.

Hate to break it to you, but Thailand is a Buddhist country. It's not a Christian country therefore they don't celebrate Christmas.

Just a wild guess. Might be 25th December. But better to wait for a consensus on it.

I'm off to consult the soi cat. She seems to think every day is a holiday.????????
