Pattaya — An Indian tourist in Pattaya filed a police report on a stranger whom he reportedly paid to go to his hotel room but later turned out to be a transgender individual. The tourist said the transvestite refused to return his money and stole his wristwatch.

An unnamed Indian tourist on Thursday reported his plight to Pattaya police in the evening.

The tourist said he hired a stranger whom he originally thought was a woman to go to his hotel room on Soi 8 in Banglamung, Chonburi. While the two of them were inside the room, the tourist stated he noticed the stranger was, in fact, a transvestite, not a real woman.

Fake news. We all know that there is no prostitution in Thailand. Entertainers yes, but no prostitutes. And then sex offers at the famous Pattaya Beach Road. Can't be true. Pattaya is a well known family tourist destination. This Indian quality tourist certainly never would have picked up a hooker. Or even two or more. At first only one was mentioned but at the end of the report it is mentioned that "they" left the hotel. Inconsistent reporting. A typical sign of fake news.

"Pattaya police were inspecting the hotel to try to locate the suspect, adding they would be able to solve the case soon because the suspect forgot their ID card in the hotel room."

The important details are missing

Hotel on Soi 8. I have an idea which one it is.

A constant stream of Indians walking down to beach from there.

The katoeys must have a great time. Lots and lots of complete newbies to rip off.

Not those "know it all farangs"

Shocking. This must be the first time something like this has ever happened.

Thought the ladyboy had the balls, as well.

I'm quite sure that the 'transgender individual' will give a completely different story on the 'invite to the bedroom'.

I've seen Caucasians and Asians chatting up ladyboys and some even going away together. Therefore, interest in ladyboys is not limited to just Indian men. And from the look of things, it seems this chap wasn't interested in one either.

This suggests he wasn’t interested in what was on offer.

He’s lucky the police just told him that what he did was also illegal and he could have been charged. He’s lucky they thought it was funny and let him off the hook and decided to help him.
I guess this Indian wasn’t in Thailand to spend time at Buddhist temples working towards enlightenment.

Me too and I checked out of it early because they were disruptive in the breakfast room and around the pool... not to mention swimming in their jocks instead of bathing togs. Impossible to get attention at reception as there was always a gang (of them) waiting to be seen to. ..

Storyline...

I think the watch was a wind up.

What was he expecting for 200 baht ?

,.."The tourist then chose to file a police report at the Pattaya police station, but the officer informed him that what he did with the stranger was against Thai prostitution laws and may result in legal action against him"...
