It happened at the end of a soi in the Nong Kham police jurisdiction at the Rung Charoen Yaowarat shop. Startled staff said that a woman had come in and after browsing had run off with a two baht weight item of gold (this is worth about 60,000 baht notes ASEAN NOW). Picture: Thai Rath Police quickly on the scene studied CCTV and discovered the name of the thief, a woman called Mayrin Namphitak, 25, from Ubon who was rounded up within 30 minutes nearby and taken on a renenactment.
