Poll shows Pheu Thai Party stands best chance of forming next government

Opposition Pheu Thai is the party with the best chance offorming the next government, followed by the Move Forward and the Palang Pracharath parties, according to a poll by the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) released today (Sunday).

 

NIDA conducted an opinion poll on “Six Parties and Their Chances of Forming the Next Government” between December 7th and 9th among 1,310 people of variouseducational backgrounds, incomes and professions across the country.

 

The poll shows:

 

40.38% said that the Pheu Thai Party stands the best chance of forming the next government

 

32.44% said the party will definitely form the next government

 

16.88% said the party has little chance

 

8.27% said the party stands no chance at all

 

While:

 

30.23% said the Move Forward Party has a good chance of forming the next government

Let's pretend that will happen, and let's pretend Thaksin's daughter will be PM. And then?

Obviously Thais should vote who they want to vote for. But think twice about the consequences.

Do they want stability in Thailand? Or more division?

It is very clear that the current parties in the Government will not be ruling again after the elections.. But Pheu Thai is not the best option as we all know previous Shinawatra PM ended by coups.. Probably the best option is Move Forward.. A totally a new wind blowing is the best

What thais really need is an education in democracy and when your side loses how not to throw your toys out the pram like a petulant toddler!

No need to pretend anything, it’s a done deal….gonna be a landslide no amount of military cheating can contain.

 

As for stability, coup after coup obviously doesn’t work, may as well give democracy a go lest we end up with a revolution.

I know nothing about Thai politics, but after 30 plus years in this country, it will not make a iota of different to the man in the street, only to to those who will stuff their pockets with more money and attain more powers...

The junta boys win every which way. Even if theres a PT landslide, the PT will still need to be paying them off to stop them from causing more future trouble. They are all ultimately in the same bed.

 

Need new blood youngsters (that are ethically motivated rather than morally corrupt) like FF if future change is to be a possibility.

Yes, the losers should learn. And the winners should also learn that winning a democratic voted doesn't allow them to do anything they want. They are not above the law. And they are not supposed to enrich themselves. And last but not least they are supposed to work for the whole country and not just for part of it.

Which part?

There are no red-shirts on the streets in Bangkok and it is peaceful.

Possibly what you see is different from what I see. But that doesn't mean what I see (in Bangkok) is incorrect.

Any election will end the present PM rule.

 

This country's problem is that it votes for figureheads and is used to being ruled by the military.

 

I think the best thing for this country would be a minority PT government, with the second big party being Move Forward if these 2 parties work together, MF would get a chance to get its feet wet in the cabinet world.  It would also prevent the PT from ruling without any leash.

 

A win that gives any party full control  of the government is going to be bad for Thailand.

They had their democratic vote stolen from them by the yellow elites!

 

These people were well within there rights to protest, the yellow mob had no right whatsoever. There was no corruption. Unless you can provide proof?
