Let's be honest, everywhere appears to be cheaper than the USA for medical treatment

The obvious euphemism, to be sure.

The top five treatments generating the most revenue for hospitals were cardiovascular issues,

Not suprising. When patients see the bill they go into cardiac arrest!

Any price that is more expensive than what Thais are paying is NOT reasonable rates!!!  Any who thinks that double pricing in national parks is a problem, should check the double pricing in Thailand's hospitals.

Normally 25% extra for foreigners.....

I was quoted THB 790,000.00 for a revised knee replacement surgery in a BKK private hospital.

Twice the price of a hospital in India

I do not believe that Thailand is a very competitive destination for medical tourism.

That's more than 20000 euro

For this price,  you can get it in Western Europe

Cant believe that. Even at the expensive BPH a full knee replacement is now 250,000 baht (promotion).

Vietnam has low cost quality private hospitals in.its largest cities.

Blood testing was about 15 - 60% cheaper than what I'd been quoted in Thailand.

Endoscopy/Colonoscopy  combined was about $250 USD.

I'm surprised this is not heavily promoted.

I was at Vejthani hospital, but I will check out BPH as well.

Thailand is pricing itself out of the market, used to be very competitive, too much greed. Personally, I'm very wary of using the private sector here nowadays. A decade ago didn't even think about it, so cheap.
