It was an accident story that had it all and was reported by INN.

Police and rescue services were called to the Lopburi Rames local road leading into Hat Yai in the far south of Thailand after an Isuzu pick-up slammed into a roadside tree.

The police found the occupants had all survived - a mum and dad and their four year old son.

These were Asan, 20, Haruthai, 27, and little Jakkrit.

Jakkrit was proudly showing off his Luang Poo Tuat amulet and said this is what saved them.

Mum Haruthai said he got the amulet from a relative, she wasn't sure what particular one it was.

Asan said that he had been on his way to trade in the Isuzu for a newer model at a dealership.

It had been nothing but trouble recently wobbling all over the road and handling unpredictably.

He admitted that the day before he had driven off the road due to his vehicle behaving strangely.

Now this.

He said the brakes locked and he was powerless to prevent them careening off the road and into the tree.

It was lucky they all survived, he observed.

I'd hate to imagine what the actual road toll would be if it was'nt for amulets!

Blame the vehicle , not your driving ,brakes locked ? , and another one

that crashes into a tree, must have been no power poles about.

lucky no one killed , without the amulet , who knows ...????

No wet road never got a mention.

The roads are plenty wet down here with lots of surface water.

But if the vehicle "had been nothing but trouble, recently wobbling all over the road and handling unpredictably", he shouldn't really have driven it at all, or at least at not at any speed.

"Asan said that he had been on his way to trade in the Isuzu for a newer model at a dealership."

but maybe the trade-in value is slightly reduced now.....

So instead of maintenance to look for the cause just go trade it in?

Or the crumple zone?

No wet road mentioned but the front driver seat was a tad damp, no skid marks mentioned either, I bet they were present too
