Thai Rath reported that a well known physically handicapped Thai boy with a large Facebook following had unwittingly been used by a gang of internet thieves to steal from his customers.

Watthana Kham-In, 18 is billed as "Nong Tham - the boy lacking both arms". He is helping his family and funding his education with some great entrepreneurial moves.

He is a M6 student at a school in Phitsanulok, northern Thailand.

He uses his feet to paint images promoting global warming issues on cloth bags.

He has now got 42,000 followers and the bags are flying off the shelves.

His mum Dokrak, 51, is running the Facebook page, taking orders and handling donations to her son.

But Tham found out through chat on his page that people were still waiting for goods they had paid for.

His records showed they had not ordered through him.

A check showed that some criminals had opened a nearly identical page with the same name. They had only 98 followers but 20 people had already ordered bags.

Bags they did not and will not get.

Tham and his mum have already reported the matter to the Nikhom Sang Ton Eng police.

He advised people wanting to buy his bags to make sure it was the real site. If there was any doubt he gave out a phone number that can be seen in the original Thai Rath article.

Good old Facebook . Supporting crime all over the world. ☹️

As long as the ad money keeps pouring in, they really do not care.
