Pattaya, Banglamung – Thai Police have identified a prime suspect in the murder of a British Ex-pat in Pattaya area.

CCTV footage of the incident has been revealed to the media. The victim, Mr. Neil Lewis Roger, 70, who was driving on a motorbike home, appeared to be seen on the video trying to escape after he was being chasing by a white vehicle with various equipment tied to the roof.

this 1.8km chase on the roads and ending up just 500m from shooters home is too much for coincidence.

That white car driver could easily knock down motorbike from behind to look like an accident. Without need to shoot

According to a post on another forum by the deceased friend, the shooter has turned himself in this morning, blamed road rage

I saw another claiming they had a dispute in the village a week before.....road rage sounds more likely.

Do you want to link the source for this ? But I can imagine a scenario: This thai jerk made a very dangerous move for the expat. And the expat had been drinking and reacted too much.

The honking the horn part sounds a bit sus. Don't those scooters usually have a "horn" that is weaker than your average door bell. Hardly the same as a typical car horn. Who would even bother honking a scooter horn?

the way the thai report reads it sounds like he didn't hit the car with his bike but rather got out and slammed on the car with his hands?

to many thais, you can drive dangerously and cut of any guy and cut him back, slam on the brakes but the moment the horn is sounded, that's the cue to open car doors and devolve into angry finger pointing and fisticuff

There's also (for some locals) a slight discrepancy between how much a slight getting flipped off is.  You can do it in many places in the world and it's accepted as 'I disagree with your driving ability/behaviour'.... and in other places it's like riding into South Central LA and using the N word with armed street dealers.  When you run into folks that take the latter view, this is what can happen.
