Report Pattaya Faces Alarming Pattern with Third Unexplained Death
Picture courtesy of Pattaya News In a concerning sequence of events in Pattaya, a third mysterious death has occurred in less than a week, raising alarms in Thailand's bustling seaside city. The latest incident involves the demise of 58-year-old Somkiat Nutrat from Nakhon Pathom, whose body was found in a revealing and puzzling state. Emerging details show that police and rescue workers were alerted to a residence on Soi Huay Ku, Bang Lamung, on 19 July. There, they found Somkiat lying in the front yard, shirtless and with his trousers down to his knees. Nearby, a bottle of alcohol and an overturned chair provided a murky backdrop to the scene. Lieutenant Colonel Srisuphan Atthasri-anant of Bang Lamung police spearheaded the response, collaborating closely with officers from the Nawang Police Post and medics from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation. The eerie circumstances of Somkiat's death have added to local unease following two other unsolved fatalities in the area. Prayuth Phitphongsuan, the 65-year-old homeowner, recounted his relationship with Somkiat: "He had been staying with me after losing his job. I felt pity for him, but he drank heavily every day." Prayuth explained he last saw Somkiat at 6 a.m. before leaving for work, only to return in the afternoon to find him lifeless. In a distressing discovery, Prayuth tried to rouse Somkiat, but realised he was unresponsive. Not finding a phone on the deceased, Prayuth sought help from a neighbour to contact the authorities. The police have meticulously gathered evidence from the scene, but preliminary assessments suggest a drunken fall may be to blame. However, they are awaiting the final autopsy results to glean more insight into the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death. As local officials work with Somkiat’s family to arrange funeral rites, the community is on edge. This unfortunate event marks the third enigmatic death in the area, prompting residents to voice growing concerns over a potential trend. Safety remains a priority as law enforcement steps up its efforts to uncover the truth behind these incidents. As Pattaya’s vibrant streets grapple with this unnerving pattern, the authorities continue to assure residents and visitors of their commitment to public safety. With the final outcomes of the investigations still pending, both residents and officials hope for clarity soon, eager to prevent further tragic occurrences amidst the city’s thriving allure. Local businesses and tourism operators are also on alert, aiming to maintain the city's reputation despite these recent unsettling events. Conversion into Thai Baht of potential economic impacts is yet to be evaluated, but ensuring safety is paramount to sustaining Pattaya's lively tourism sector. UK Chaos at Bell Hotel: Migrant Crisis Sparks Violent Protests in Epping
You are conflating two separate issues. Issue 1. Is the 25,000 undocumented illegal immigrants that have came over the Channel in 6 1/2 months of 2025. Issue 2. There are millions of migrants who have come legally through work visa's. Hence the UK has 1 million foreigners claiming £7.5 billion a year in UC. This is also a net drain on the UK. We should not be bringing in people from abroad, to work, who need UC. We have over 1 million unemployed and 1.2 million 16 - 24 year old NEETS. These NEETS and the unemployed are the people that should be doing the jobs that need topped up by UC. To get back on topic. Another night of unrest in Epping last night. And a thought occurred to me. Starmer has been silent. I think he has already accepted, that it is all falling apart, under his watch. -

Friend in need of assistance
I have a DNR (Do not resuscitate) letter in Thai and English. I have told my wife that any money we have is fir her and our 20 year old son's future and that she is NOT to spend it on keeping me alive as a vegetable. At 81 it is virtually impossible to get insurance, no matter what some people claim. -
