So some polls have called things wrong in the past therefore all polls will be incorrect. Interesting logic.

And actually,  there was a lot of fluctuation leading up to the election. Out of the last 10 polls, 6 showed "leave" a ahead of "remain". 1 showed a tie. And only one pollster gave remain a 4 point margin

It is certainly a good starting point.

What has happened previously is often the best indicator of what will happen in the future.

Anybody who puts too much store by polls is an idiot.

Funny. I could say such a qualification might more aptly apply to someone who doesn't understand the concept of observer bias. Someone who cherry picks results that agree with their prejudices and than generalizes about them. But I think it's more down to ignorance than lack of native intelligence.

If what you say is correct then governments and businesses the world over are wasting their money conducting market research.

Apologies for being blunt but it appears that you have no understanding of sampling theory, survey design or statistics in general.

People that take part in Surveys or Polls are Mugs

How many people would take part in these surveys or polls if the opening line was

Hello Mug do you remember the Harry Enfield catch phase LoadsofMoney

Well my company and the sponsor of this survey or poll want to make loads of Money and we will if you answer honestly these 30 questions

We will collate you responses with the other people taking part in this survey / pool and we will sell these responses to anyone that is willing to pay

You wouldn't receive a dime/penny but that life

Remember Information is money and data is money

This seems to suggest that you prefer quantifiable data to intention. That's fair enough.

Therefore, I'm sure that you will agree that Brexit has negatively affected the UK economy, given that the overwhelming majority of available data supports this hypothesis?

Everyone voting "leave" knew that there would be a negative affect on the UK economy........that isn't rocket-science.

Strange since that was not exactly what the leave campaign was about. Lots of money would be saved so the NHS could be rescues, etc.

Polls are guesswork because of the low numbers involved, but providing work for a few interviewees.....:cowboy:

Really? Was that part of the "Leave" campaign. I must have missed that. I didn't miss the denials, though. Funny, that.

So everyone voting Leave didn't believe the official 'Vote Leave' campaign when they said "UK trade will thrive after we leave the EU"? No mention of any negative effects.

Here's what Nigel Farage wrote on Jun 20, 2016

'Don't forget that so many who now insist that we would be diminished as a nation if we leave the EU said that our economy would suffer if we did not join the euro. They were wrong then and they are wrong now.'

https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/eu-referendum-brexit-nigel-farage-on-why-you-should-vote-to-leave-a7091021.html

Here's Rees-Mogg

“I think the economic benefit is the very straight-forward, classical view: the more freely you trade, the better. The drive to do business is much more powerful for making a country rich than governments directing business, which is more what the EU is about.”

https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/jacob-rees-mogg-brexit_uk_574dc7a5e4b0089281b4d95d

Here's Boris Johnson:

Mayor of London Boris Johnson has said leaving the EU would be a "win-win for all", urging those backing exit to "hold our nerve and vote for freedom".

The EU was an anachronism which "costs us a huge amount of money and subverts our democracy", the Tory MP said.

He insisted there were no downsides to leaving, suggesting the UK could ape Canada's trade arrangement with the EU.

Thriving is about more than just the economy.

Anyway.......the Leave vote won, get over it.

Not just irrelevant to the assertion made by hotandsticky, but actually in contradiction to it. Here it is again:
