I know in the past nmax had an advantage with regards to brakes but the new pcx has it to my understanding

They are hardly high performance vehicles. The Nmax 2022 has front a single pot caliper with what looks like fixed single steel disc. So that is a very low bar from which to gauge anyway. You are splitting hairs.

 

Find the one that is most comfy to you, has the best luggage for you, comes in the colour you like and get get for the best on road cost. You will not notice anything else, honestly.
