Terrible comparison, go go bars provide a lot more than visual entertainment for men waiting to bar fine the girls and some of their shows are far more graphic than any ladyboy show.

Things are different here in Thailand. They learn from an early age that there are boys that act like girls and so on. They aren't indoctrinated on the subject. TV shows have the wacky looking ladyboy.

 

At a restaurant I asked my 11 yr old about the worker. Man or woman, she giggled and said man lady. ahahaa   They don't need story books or drag shows here to educate them, it's a part of natural life here.

 

When she's 15 I doubt I'll drop her off near Walking Street to play with her friends.

Yes things are different here in Thailand, they are more accepting of ladyboy shows without the need to scream and charge parents with a crime if they take their kids to one. Just as it should be in the US

Funny how the left are suddenly so against cancel culture when it involves cancelling men dressed as women parading in front of children. ???? Suddenly they want government to stay out of people's lives. It seems there is no end to their hypocrisy. 

 

Now, ignoring their (predictable) double standards for a second, as long as the show is done tastefully and respectfully I don't have a massive issue with it. Pantomine, Thai comedy sketches complete with BOING noises etc. However, I've seen a lot of these drag shows where they all get a bit too excited with the flamboyance of it all and the bloke ends up dressed in a small thong, twerking in front of kids faces etc. I saw one where he took off his shirt to reveal his massive silicon implants, all with kids present. This is the type of thing I believe the law is trying to stop, and rightly so.

The whole drag queen thing was a non-issue until it was suddenly pushed into the spotlight by some people who for some reason wanted kids exposed to it as a form of "gender affirming education".  Then we suddenly got drag queen reading hour, school visits, burlesque-type shows "for all ages" and the like.

Regards in school then personally I see no need for in person drag or ladyboy sessions in any country as I would expect adequate sexual and social education would cover differing gender issues. Oh wait, I hear they are stopping that also in the US

What do you think a drag queen show is going to do to the minds of young children? You seem to confuse sexually explicit or suggestive shows with shows where men are dressed as women.

Small children will just think of this as being silly and funny.

But if it's so important to "protect the children", and politicians feel that parents are unable to do that, then by all means spend valuable time (South Dakota has a pretty limited legislative schedule) passing these sorts of bills.

 

 

I think North Dakota had considered a bill which would invoke a $1,500 fine each time someone used a pronoun which did not match the birth certificate. Obviously wouldn't pass the First Amendment test, so thankfully that did not pass.
