Quote from the link:

A Mitsubishi pickup truck was carrying eight people, most who are shrimps catchers. Three of them sustained serious injuries. Five people were pronounced dead at the scene, three people in the pickup truck cab and two on the back of the pickup truck bed.

Nuff said.

Some of them have really not adapted well to the buffalo-less cart!

Very sad, but just a normal Thailand day for many of these idiots I see driving pickup trucks.

They are just accidents waiting to happen.

Speeding, erratic driving, weaving in and out of lanes, overtaking on the left, tailgating other drivers.

Overtaking slower moving traffic by moving into the opposing lane is so dangerous here. I watch as they do this with a rise in the road coming up and they can not see what's coming up and over as well as doing it in corners...sad to hear of more deaths. May they rest in peace.

Pickups have very powerful engines, and aren't particularly stable on the roads. Add to that a heavy foot driver and it's not hard to see why pickups are involved in so many accidents.
