Docs needed for residency and where in BKK?

Featured Replies

Your embassy can provide this if your are not a US, British or Australian citizen

If you have a receipt from immigration showing you have reported your address (TM47 90 day report) then you can apply at your local immigration office

Yes, the documents for immigration. What is required? I don't want to go to the embassy and that's not what the dlt request on the website.

I recommend the search function.  This has been asked many times before, e.g.

For immigration you need passport and current TM47 receipt for 90 day reporting.

If you don't have this you will need to go to embassy

DLT will accept embassy letter

The immigration office is at Cheang. Wattana

This is a side issue

Do I need bring original tm30 residency slip from CW for residency paper, 90 day, re entry...?

For visa extension I would. It would be in a set of originals put aside.

I had my TM 30 receipt with me,they did not ask for it,but as @foxx had to provide this, I would have it with me together with the required current TM 47 , 90 day report receipt

Not sure if CW differs from Provincial offices, but in our Province we have to go to DLC and ask them for a letter to take to Immigration. The letter requests the IO to issue a Certificate of Residence for the purpose of getting a DL.

At the IO you need your TM30 and the letter and 500 Baht.

Depends on different matters such as time and other restrictions where you have to update a TM 30 file. Going abroad and coming back for example. Sometimes they ask prior 90 day reporting for an updated TM30. Conditions changes a lot. Again: Amazing Immigration rules:). TIT.

Always smile to the officer.

CW differs a lot from your post and some other posts in the thread.

The main thing required at CW is the form along with most recent TM47 receipt. Also basic photocopies of pp.

TM30 is not required.

You do not need to go to anywhere prior to attending immigration.

At CW the cost is 200b and mailed out EMS within 2 weeks.

Well an updated TM30 was needed in my case at CW:). Once you are out of the country they want an update I think.

At least they find out when you reply for a residency letter which is only for a months valid in some cases:)

It depends on your permission of stay status.

If you reenter country on a reentry permit or multi entry visa then the TM30 "update" is not required.

At CW you cannot obtain a certificate of residence without a TM47 receipt for report address Bangkok immigration.

Not sure why they wanted at TM30 in your case.

Perhaps you returned on new visa or visa exempt.
