Crime Local Influential Figure Shot Dead in Nakhon Si Thammarat
Picture courtesy of SiamNews. A man notorious for his criminal background was shot dead outside his home in the early hours of 24 August, in Ron Phibun District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. Police from Ron Phibun Station were alerted to the incident at a single-storey house in Khuan Chum Subdistrict. At the scene, they found the body of Mr Nakhon Suebsai, 42, known locally by his alias “Khon Thung Lor”. He was lying face down on the ground outside his house, wearing only a brown towel. The victim had sustained two gunshot wounds, one to the waist and a fatal shot to the head. A methamphetamine pill was discovered near the body and seized as evidence. Initial enquiries revealed that Nakhon was considered an influential figure in the area and had a long history of criminal activity. He had been arrested several times in connection with drug offences, attempted murder and robbery and had spent periods in prison. His activities and reputation had earned him numerous enemies both locally and from neighbouring areas. Police believe the killer was someone familiar with the victim, who called him outside the house under the pretext of discussing an illicit business matter. The assailant is thought to have first shot him in the waist, causing him to collapse, before firing a second shot to the head at point-blank range. The gunman then fled the scene on a motorcycle. Investigators suspect the murder stemmed from an ongoing dispute in the criminal underworld. Any commercial machine will do the job you want. Just because it looks like a photocopier to you it has additional functions you may not be aware of. Most will not only scan but also email the scanned document for you. -

Accident Rubber Tapper Dies After Pickup Skids into Ditch in Udon Thani
Picture courtesy of Workpoint News A 55-year-old rubber tapper died after losing control of his pickup truck, which skidded off a bend and plunged into a canal in Ban Phue district, Udon Thani. Authorities believe fatigue may have played a role. The crash occurred near the Nong Hua Khu–Non Sa-ard bridge in Nong Hua Khu Subdistrict. The vehicle, a Isuzu D-Max, was found partially submerged in the canal. Locals broke the left-side cab window and retrieved the driver, later identified as Mr. Bunlom, before medics arrived. Emergency responders attempted CPR and administered mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, but Mr. Bunlom was pronounced dead at Ban Phue Hospital. Witnesses noted brake marks on the road indicating the vehicle had skidded before plunging into the water. According to village headman Mr. Ittisak Thatchai, Mr. Bunlom had spent the entire night tapping rubber and was driving to buy groceries the following morning. He reportedly called his wife during the incident, asking for assistance, but was unable to escape from the submerged vehicle as the doors were blocked by the water. Police suspect that fatigue, combined with the use of air conditioning in the vehicle, caused Mr. Bunlom to “fall asleep at the wheel,” resulting in the fatal crash.
