Police in Klaeng, Rayong, on Thailand's eastern seaboard, went to a house in Thang Kawian sub-district after a shooting among friends at a drinks party at a house yesterday.

 

They had been drinking since the previous evening.

 

Two men were lying with chest and abdomen injuries in pools of blood.

 

They were taken to Klaeng hospital where they are both in comas.

 

Some 22 9mm shell casings were all over the place and two 9mm guns were recovered.

 

Three people - two women and one man - were hit by ricochets but are out of danger now, reported Daily News.

 

The media named the combatants as Noppadon, 47, a former Navy man, and Chainarong, 48, the owner of the house.

 

Witnesses said they started arguing over a minor matter that escalated.

 

They were standing just one meter apart as they unloaded their guns into each other.

I've read several times over the years that, based on population numbers, the land of smiles has twice the number of gun deaths than the USA. These idiots failed to join the number, so far, but provide an excellent indication as to why that might be so.

That should answer why PoPo shouldn't be criticized for shooting criminals (too many time) with 10+ rounds, if issued a 9mm.   Really doesn't have much stopping power.

 

Wonder how many times they hit each other.  At 1-2 meters apart, you'd think at least half hit their target.

Okay I have to ask the question, why would a person go to a friends house armed with a gun, and why would the host feel he needed to be carrying?

Yep, that would be me, a tea totaler.   Alcohol gives you courage, but does not help with your aim. 

When I was a teenager that lived in a rooming house by a bar and upstairs from it, I was allowed to go into the bar and order sandwiches that they sold.   They let me play pool there too.   I saw several fights in there between people that got drunk.   I never saw anyone that was not drunk get into a fight. 

I was also in a branch of the U.S. Military.   I don't recall seeing any fights between people who were not under the influence of alcohol.   I saw people who were angry with someone, begin drinking and later was told they got into a fight with the other person.

Drinking alcohol has nothing to do with making a year long plan, finding a police officer, buying the gun from the officer or 'buy it from the dark web' than premediate an attack and shoot someone.  This takes planning and a sober person.
