Lalisa “Lisa” Manobal or best known as “Lisa Blackpink” was seen photographed with tattoos recently and and a crap storm of controversy arose on twitter on whether or not it was acceptable for a Thai woman to have tattoos.

Seriously? In 2023.

One tweet in particular went viral, it said:

“Why would you get a tattoo on your beautiful, smooth skin? Thai women who got tattoos are considered bad women,” the tweet began. “I’m only teaching you this because I have good intentions, the adults won’t like this when they see this, and your chance to become a public servant is now zero because you have tattoos. You were already doing so well being an idol for the younger generation. Your image matters to the people’s feelings and maybe this is ok for your generation but what about those who are from the older generation?”

I think she is a very pretty girl.   I think it is a shame that she has decided ( in my opinion) to disfigure her body with tattoos.   The trouble with tattoos is that unlike hairs

  • Ever seen a middle aged or old lady with attractive tattoos? me neither. They are best for sailors, criminals, prostitutes and idiots. No women looks better with tattoos even when young. Luckily Lisa

Some people just can't handle anything that's out of their comfort zone. Tattoos are another one folks thing derogatorily of.  How does having a tattoo make one not a public figure or a public servant. So many people in positions of power here, even at the top dog spot,  and elsewhere have some ink on them.

The trouble with tattoos is that unlike hairstyles or dyes, clothing or fashion statements they are essentially irreversible.

I don't think that is misogynistic.

"strongly prejudiced against women:" Not at all. Don't think it look good on any genders body.

Yes a womans natural body is soo much more beautiful, than one with tattoo. Goes for all genders.

In a thread yesterday about the 45 y.o. UK bimbo, many had issues with her ugly tattoos, both here in Thailand and abroad. Comments on daily Mail was rife about how ugly she had made herself with tattood, not only about her 2100 cc implants.

But if tattoo on a thai womens body, many seeme to like it.

Can you "pro-inkers" make up your mind? (rhetoric question) LOL.

its pretty simple, a good tattoo is great a bad tattoo not so much.

Whats more important is their personal significance,

The Ice Man in Bolzano has tattoos on his back and elsewhere (I've seen his body lying in the cold room). But his are from 5,300 years ago; back then they had a more serious purpose. Today, not so much.

Her entire fanbase are 12 year old girls.  I don't think middle ages men should be getting offended.

For items or events of personal significance, I do this little trick called 'committing to memory'. It leaves no mark, and remains as private as I want it to be.

Others choose public announcements via permanent ink.

To each her own.

We all have, and are entitled to opinions. I do not believe anyone ever looked better with a tattoo. Up to them, but I cannot make myself like them. I can ignore them, but never like them.

Apparently it is a trend these days... It is almost very hard to find someone who doesn't have a tattoo.. I don't like tattoos, but that is my taste... In the past people with tattoos were sailors and people with a not so decent history....Indeed if you had a tattoo work in general was very difficult to get.. Nowadays things changed, but I am still wondering why people want to mutilate themselves.. I saw in a bankoffice a very goodlooking boy , but tattoos on his hands and who knows where else...It such a pity because when they get older maybe they regret it and tattoos are forever... Not my kind of taste, but who want can do I don't mind... So girls with tattoos, not my kind of girls, but if they are happy with it....

I'm a fan and in my 70's ???? She's a great role model for girls though, ambitious, incredibly hard working to get where she is, learning new languages and cultures not much old than 12, millions in the bank, she's certainly lived her dream. Just a pity about the ink job.
