"strongly prejudiced against women:" Not at all. Don't think it look good on any genders body.

Yes a womans natural body is soo much more beautiful, than one with tattoo. Goes for all genders.

But if tattoo on a thai womens body, many seeme to like it.

Can you "pro-inkers" make up your mind? (rhetoric question) LOL.

its pretty simple, a good tattoo is great a bad tattoo not so much.

Whats more important is their personal significance,

The Ice Man in Bolzano has tattoos on his back and elsewhere (I've seen his body lying in the cold room). But his are from 5,300 years ago; back then they had a more serious purpose. Today, not so much.

For items or events of personal significance, I do this little trick called 'committing to memory'. It leaves no mark, and remains as private as I want it to be.

Others choose public announcements via permanent ink.

To each her own.

We all have, and are entitled to opinions. I do not believe anyone ever looked better with a tattoo. Up to them, but I cannot make myself like them. I can ignore them, but never like them.
