Question re NON-O Visa (not expired) and being on a extension of stay (but forgot to get a re-entry Permit)

Question for @ubonjoe or @DrJack54 or @lopburi3

If someone just got an extension of stay (Marriage / Retirement) and went abroad but they forgot to get a Re-Entry permit.

Upon Arrival (back in Thailand)  with the Multiple Entry Non-O visa being still valid, would they get up on arrival back in Thailand another 90 days or not?

Thx @ubonjoe

A friend just left and he completely forgot to get his re-Entry Permit.

I will tell him that he needs to start over with Immigration.

Any issues with Immigration about that he already used an entry to get a previous extension?
