Long ago I realised I didn’t need to try and ‘re-educate’ the world around me... Its easier and safer to just get out of the way and not risk being in an accident - there are too many nutcases out there who don’t care about their own safety or anyone else.

Agreed...  I think dash-cams and public shaming have contributed to an improvement. Where policing fails, public embarrassment on social media seem to exceed and play into the potential loss of face which is so important here - Yet, it still surprises me that there is still so many people who forget that they could become the latest meme or viral video with their actions.

Came here in '98, got my first car here in '00 and I'm on my sixth car now, and going shopping for a new one at the Motor-Show this weekend. 

 

Worked in at KIZ in Prachinburi and drove the 350km round trip at least once a week to Bangkok for over twenty years until I retired a few years ago.

 

Also driven all over the country for holidays and whatnot.

several years ago I had dropped some friends at Phuket airport and was on my way home when I pulled up at a set of red lights, lights turned green but the car in front was busy talking to someone standing on the traffic island(was only a single lane)in the middle of the road, I waited for a bit them bipped my horn to get the driver to move and out came the gun and he started waving it around, I am convince they think this makes their tiny appendage appear bigger for them.  A lot of thai men seem to appear to have a small dick syndrome where they need to show everyone just how big they think they are by waving guns and knives etc around, all its good for is a laugh
