3 Weeks In Europe

Featured Replies

so far we've finished 3 maybe more tequila bottles, one vodka, some wine....lots of beers by the others....and the party is only half way:P

ohh not mixing drinks......thats something Ive never been good at...so far Ive had champagne, tequila, and some cheap red wine....and now edging for some bailey's......

thats the bad (good?) thing about partying at home...well not exactly home...but atleast if we get drunk all thats needed is an elevator ride up to our rooms.....

Glad you haven't mixed your drinks then! How's the head after all that? :o

party ended at 5am...well some left as needed to catch their flights :D I had one hour of sleep before flying to Munich.....no idea how I survived the day......but funnily enough no hang over.....just meant I couldnt go out partying on my first night in Munich :o

but yeah in London I was restrained enough :D might have something to do with worrying about having to carry Kayo back to the train station :D

Now that would be funny! :D

Anymore photos of your trip MiGgy ??

Hows the chocolate over there ??

Enjoy yourself. :o

Im back in thailand since this afternoon.

spent the last 2.5 days in Munich,

couldnt buy as much chocolates as I wanted to, mainly cos for the domestic flights I was flying with Lufthansa and they were strict with the baggage allowance...grrrr

but I could spare one or 2 bars if u are nice but U'd have to get them soon too :bah:

give me a few days to sort out photos. as said...only back late this afternoon, and already I was out with some german friends who have been in Bangkok while I was there :o

also want to say a big big thank you to all that posted with advice and kind words and taking interest in my trip.....and also for putting up with the scores of silly questions I had from day 1. looking back after Ive been to London Im wondering why I needed to spend so much time just to figure out what kind of ticket to get for the public transport :o in reality...walk up to the counter, a couple of questions and voila! heres your ticket.

I dont think I can mention all the names, cos every one that posted on this thread have been wonderful :D but I think I do owe Kayo a separate mention, as he not only gave advice (which u all did too!), and went out of his way to meet me in London. Thanks again for that :D

and to Moss and Markr for the offer of a tour round Oxford...eventhough I didnt quite make it there, and my favorite tiger for the lovely phonecall.....

I got a pic for you by the way.......

McG -- one day I hope to get to Spain, so dont think I didnt take your advice into consideration....

or the numerous others that proposed scotland, ireland, netherlands, and etc etc :D

ermmm...I dont think I can write a good Oscar speech.......unless perhaps here I add something like...."wait wait...Im forgetting someone......yes..thankyou ______, thankyou! I luv ya all" :bah:;)

but seriously, thanks everyone....everything worked out great for me :D and a lot of it is much to do with having you guys and gals here

Great time was had! Look forward to seeing the photo...

It's just light refraction.

It's like shining a light through a prism, the water droplets are picking up the red light and making it visible. It manifests itself in all sorts of colours in the sky! Very pretty!

glad u like it!

they may not be real....but well to walk in there and see these 2 elegant looking stuff toys sitting atop the roof I right away thought of you and me ....am I allowed to say you and me?? :D

Eek....there was some star wars school for kids happening in london at the time...and i think thats why they had these things standing atop the roof (different roof to the tigers though :D tigers in Munich.......) they looked really cool and quite real...my friend who works in graphic and web design wants to steal the image for some of her work :o

...am I allowed to say you and me?? :D

Of course you are... :o

Unless of course you are asking a grammatical question, then of course it's perfectly correct to say 'you and me'! If this is the case, ignore my previous comment! :D

Grammatically that would be "you and I", but if I were a pedant, I would have started this sentence with a capital letter.

edit: altered the small case "g" to an upper case capital "G"

No kayo, you're wrong! Grammatically it is 'you and me'. A common mistake made by natural English speakers. If 'me' is correct without the 'you' it remains correct after you add the 'you'. Where's FS when you need him?

So, it's goodnight from Mig and me!

Im resurrecting this thread :o

Lisbon

Dusseldorf

random thoughts for now :D

thanks all

(I hope people havent tired of my european cities questions yet....) :D

out of curiousity....what can people tell me about:

Verona

Just back, although only a short time, fantastic Piazza in front of the Arena, plenty of eateries.

The Coliseum is a pretty good hour of a tour and get the right time, September I think, they hold Operas within it.

Classy shops and the old city walls and just up the lanes from the Coliseum, there is of course the Balcony Juliet and Romero, very authentic, built circa 1910, when was Old Shaky about again?

Half an hour up the road is Lake Garda, now that is good.

Moss

  • Author

yes, thats what a friend told me ..... verona..the city of romeo and juliet ..she says

so the Moss fam had a second honeymoon? and celebration for Jude? moss -- why didnt you let Jude wait for me.... :D

anyway, it sounds really romantic. but then again....so does every place in italy it seems :o just thinking of italy puts me in the 'in love' mood. sighhhhhhhhhhh

Yo Miggy, I googled all of those places and there are plenty of sites offering advice and comments from real customers with ratings. If you are going to any of these places there's always loads to do. Go for it! Have a great time!
