Do you just say words? Do you know what you're even saying? Does this reporter think up clever words and then work them randomly into a story and then show his/her parents for some praise and cookies?

Total buffoonery.

I saw something in America a few years ago. Why didn't the cops rush in? It was pointed out that the shooter was using an AR15, whilst the cops on the scene only had handguns. Go figure! ????????

So it would have been OK for the police to rush on in and have more wild gunfire from the gunmen kill them or innocent bystanders outside as the bullets flew outside from inside. It doesn't bother me that he died, however it would have when and if others had because of the negligence created by rushing in and of which you seem to condone with your view of it taking too long.

Did he not say the word 'sniper'? ????????‍♂️

But wouldn't that mean that some people had already taken people's eyes?  As in, each case of "an eye for an eye" a guilty party would have taken someone's eye, so steering away from "an eye for an eye" would simply leave a load of people having had their eyes attacked.

I wouldn't put too much stock in Gandhi anyway.  He was apparently quite an unpleasant person.

If you keep taking eyes you end up with "the one eyed man is king among the blind."

Phetchaburi siege had to end to avoid more people being killed or injured

Police had to use force to end the recent armed standoff at a housing estate in Phetchaburi province because more people could have been killed or injured if the situation had been allowed to continue, according to Pol Lt-Gen Thanayut Wuthicharasthamrong, commissioner of the 7th Regional Police Bureau.

The 15-hour siege ended with the gunman, identified as “Anuwat”, who was holding out in a property in the housing estate, was shot dead by police. Three innocent people had already been killed by the gunman and three others injured, including an officer of the police special operations unit involved in the storming of the house.

Pol Lt-Gen Thanayut said that the gunman appeared to know combat techniques used in a siege situation when he was surrounded by the police.

Sounds logical, then I think about the US School shooting in Uvalde, Tx last year that while a contingent of several highly (and VERY expensively) trained state and local SWAT teams stood around dithering outside, the killer was allowed to wander inside the school, systematically killing 19 children and 2 adults.

All those cops who earned tens of thousands of bonus dollars doing SWAT and other crises training sitting around sayin "Nope, not worth the risk."

Bystanders, both in the Thai incident yesterday and in Uvalde had long been cleared away, the perimeter had been secured so the "innocent bystander" excuse holds no water.

So an eye for an eye, well no justice system needed then. You speed we cut off your accelerator foot or your throttle hand. You touch something and it's gets damaged we chop off your hand. You must want to return to living in a feudal society.  God forbid you look at a women walking by you, your eyes will be put out...

A few flash bangs in all the windows, fill the house with smoke and choke the bu##er out.

If he doesn't come out give him a final warning, 5 minutes to surrender or we come in.

Amicably by surrendering voluntarily without force necessary. You must think that justice would be served by blowing up the house and killing him. You definitely don't like any judicial system, no matter how bad it is. Back we go to the wild west, hangem high, shoot it out, shoot the one who wronged you in the back, lynch mob mentality I see from a few posting.

Actually. I think that each case/situation should be judged on merit and circumstances. What justice do you believe this particular intentional killer should be afforded ?

if he had given up and surrendered, then arrested, he would have them been prosecuted and either sentenced to death if it met the legal requirements, if not then imprisoned.  Of course he would have probably claimed innocence by mental defect or insanity caused by his use of the drugs he was initially arrested for.

Brilliant idea - give him five minutes to prepare for the attack so undoubtedly more people will be killed or injured.. Genius.
