Bachelor’s degree in the Philippines
A native English speaker is already a step above the local English teachers, who spend much of their time just giving out sheets of paper to copy. Just talking to the children teaches them how to speak, and teaching them progressive classes helps many of those willing to learn, as not all care and just go through the motions. Some schools require a degree and some don't, but you don't know which ones until you research. A teacher that can have fun with the children, teaching them while playing games, goes a long way here. Getting them all involved has them learning when regular classes might fall behind. -

Trump spares smartphones, computers, other electronics from China tariffs
The US slap tariffs on China… then raises them… then raise them again, which makes China slam the US with massive retaliatory tariffs. Then the US lift those tariffs for a few weeks like it’s a limited-time Netflix subscription, only to maybe bring them back… because they're supposedly trying to “bring manufacturing home.” But wait! They're also using those same tariffs that they want to remove to raise revenue to pay down the debt, by taxing the very industries they want to move there, while simultaneously negotiating trade deals that would eliminate most tariffs altogether. And through all of this, they’re telling China, “We’ll stop our tariffs if you stop your tariffs,” like it's a playground standoff between toddlers with lunch money. Totally makes sense. Crystal clear. What a flawless strategy. -

Devastation in Sumy: Dozens Killed as Russian Missiles Strike City Center
It's called escalation. Zelensky keeps blowing up Russian stuff so Putin blows up Ukrainians. Is anyone shocked or surprised? In the real world, people don't play nicely. -

Nestlé Wins Legal Battle Over Nescafé Rights in Thailand
Only Decaf for me these days, I go out to Starbucks 3 times a week that is about the best so far, Amazon dont do Decaf or 7/11, I would have thought the amount of coffee they sell daily they would have Decaf, maybe it's to expensive for them to buy, not many people want it, -

59 Dead, 458 Injured in First Two Days of Songkran Holiday Travel, Bangkok Tops Fatalities
And I still contend that Thailand ranks that high because it's at a precarious economic point where so many people can afford scooters but can't afford cars. Any poorer, and they'd be walking or bicycling. Any richer and they'd be in cars with seatbelts and 2 tons of steel. In either case, traffic fatalities would go down. I didn't enjoy driving as much in Thailand because the habits and etiquette are so different than back home in nanny land, but I rarely felt at higher risk on a per km basis in my pickup with 2 tons of steel and seat belts.
