German Tourist Injured After Falling From Waterfall on Samui Island

Samui Island – A German tourist has sustained injuries after she fell down from a waterfall on the Samui Island.


The Samui District Office Chief Mr. Jirapat Choojan told the Phuket Express that the office was notified on Wednesday (April 5th) that a tourist had injured her ankle after falling from the Na Mueang 2 Waterfall.

 

Emergency responders and officers took more than 20 minutes on foot to walk to the waterfall before finding the injured tourist. The 38-year-old female German tourist was with her German husband (The Phuket Express is withholding their names for their privacy.).

It happens often at that waterfall, many have fallen there over the years. Perhaps it's time to rig up some sort of lookout spot with railings that will prevent people from slipping over.
