Tesla Powerwalls available in Thailand

Featured Replies

I can only speculate. Thus, the high price is probably that the Power Wall 2 made in the US. In Australia sells for $17,000-18,000 without a Solar Rebate (lowers price to $14,000).

So the large price increase overseas may be due to customs duty (includes value for shipping and demurrage costs), lack of significant solar rebates, VAT, and lack of trade treaty pricing.

There might also be some trade protectionism involved as a similar product is made in China that has virtually free trade with Thailand.

That's about 25 years of electricity bills !

Don't think I'll bother !

What do battery storage systems have to do with EV cars?

Please explain. I'm eager to know the relation.

Meanwhile I'm happy to drive around the neighborhood with 1/10th of the cost of a gasoline car with my EV....

The word "Tesla" triggers some reflexive reaction of me.

So forget my comment.
