Phuket – Phuket has announced a total of five deaths, 51 road accidents, and 51 injuries in Songkran’s Seven Days of Danger Road Safety Campaign (April 11th to April 17th).

 

The Phuket Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) Office told the Phuket Express today (April 18th) details on the seventh day (April 17th) of the ‘Songkran Seven Days of Danger’ road accidents campaign.

 

On April 17th, two road accidents took place in the Mueang District with two injuries. One accident with one injury took place in the Thalang district. Four accidents with four injuries took place in the Kathu district.

"..road safety campaign..."! it sounds like a macabre joke

How can u have a road safety campaign in a country  where  most people,  incuding the authorities.   know  nothing at all  about  a  highway code, road safety , and driver training etc etc  a total waste of time and  money
