Popular Post markclover
She was always drunk and screaming. She let her kids play in the road at all hours. But I don't mind that it's good that kids put down the phone and play outside. One day she comes up to me and shows me a picture of my cat in her garden. She said it 'damaged her expensive plant'. Okay so she has a problem with hello kitty. A tiny white cat with a pink nose is a problem for her. It keeps her up at night. This woman is always at home. She doesn't work and I never saw her husband around. Just her and the two daughters (which go to the same school that I teach at) so that's hilarious. Next step she is standing outside my house at 8pm screaming. She is shouting the name of the landlord. The landlord doesn't live there as we rent it and we have told her many times. She then starts throwing stones at the house. I didn't know this at the time but someone else saw it and reported her for throwing stones at the house. Apparently she was doing it when we were out as well. She repeated the shouting thing a few times. My girlfriend would talk to her and tell her we are not the house owners. She would quiet down and walk off. I leave for work about 7 in the morning. She is there at the security gate telling them to not open it. She said we don't pay the common area so they have to get out and open the barrier by themselves (we pay it directly to the landlord not to some crazy woman). So I get out and do it she is making a video on her phone of me the whole time. I just smile at her and open it then get back in the car. So this is where she messed up. - She then shared the video with the entire village via a line group. She said that we were leaving and the house is up for rent again. She was immediately removed from the local council and they found out that she had been going around the houses asking for the common area money. This money was not kept on their records. They also removed her on grounds that she took a video of me without my permission. We moved house to another village nearby. Popular Post Snugs08
Did your cat damage the plants? I always seem to get entitled cat owners where I live, one used the small bit of grass I had as it's twice daily crapping ground, and it adds up quickly, the cat not the owner 555, the owner didn't have a care in the world, wouldn't contribute to any mitigation measures - even said he could come and collect the crap once a week, wasn't interested... well eventually he was but I won't go into what I did to get his attention.. If you insist your cat should roam, maybe you could of resolved the situation by inquiring about the state of the plant damage and something as trivial as 200 baht towards some netting? Or at least fein some interest instead of - well you and your daughters are at home all day so you should watch out for my cat. Sounds like she won, possibly the battle and the war, you and your cat moved... she'll be back in the line group shortly., Edited April 19, 2023 by Snugs08 3 1 1 2

Popular Post jak2002003
You should not let your cat free roam to be a bother to other people. Also, it can get easily killed on the road or get attacked my dogs or other cats. My neighbor has several cats that are a real annoyance to us. They wake us up at night when they are fighting and chasing each other around our garden. They crap and spray in our car port, scratch the motor bike seats, and it's distressing to see then killing baby birds from the nests in our garden. Our puppy also got it's eye badly scratched when it though it would try to chase a huge Tom cat off our patio sofa. Unfortunately they had nine dogs, which they kept shut in the garden. Never walked. You can imagine the noise they made 24/7. Fortunately, they've moved and the present owner only has one dog which is fairly quiet because it is regularly walked by its farang owner. I don't have any dogs, which is bliss. Unfortunately others in the community do, usually the mandatory four or more. 2

If he allows his cat to freely roam without taking any responsibility just because its a little cat called hello kitty, then it won't be long before he's fighting another battle and moving again. It's pretty simple, cat was in her garden and damaged her plants she claims, he hasn't disputed this but nor has he volunteered what he done to compensate and future mitigate, whilst this woman might have some form of anger issues the seed is clear, don't let your cat roam, and if you do you better be taking responsibility if that means replacing plants, paying for netting, or coming to clean my garden of cat crap every 24hrs then so be it, as someone pointed out next time it could be car paint, a motorbike seat, a piece of neighbor grass as new litter box. Snugs08
Is there any legal restrictions in Thailand on placing a deterrent on your own property if you become a repeat victim of an entitled cat owner - garden filling with cat crap that they refuse to collect each evening, plants damaged and not replaced, motorbike seat ripped apart etc.. A deterrent being a cat trap, or some form of temporary non-lethal poison, I threatened a deterrent last time and it was enough to spur the owner to eventually do something - funnily enough I never saw that cat again I wonder if it ended its roaming days or he just bought a litter box for his own house. Kwaibill
I have been the “ landlord” for over thirty cats at the same time! ( I only brought one spayed kitten with me, and adopted one that was attacked by a neighbors dog.) Of course I had thirty acres of prime AZ desert, and two litter boxes for the indoor crowd. The rest were content with the outdoor “ cat house” or one of the three outbuildings. There seems to be an efficient “ jungle telegraph” involved for crazy old cat people, as more and more kept showing up. They never seemed to bother my hens, and really didn’t disturb my gardens much. Not a rodent to be found on the place, and several were “ pals “ with my beagles and horses. I can’t keep any now because “ cat scratch fever” really is a thing, and it seems you are susceptible once you’ve had one bout; missing half a big toe due to sepsis/gangrene from a neighboring cat bite here in LOS.
