Ukraine war: The Russian ships accused of North Sea sabotage

Russia has a programme to sabotage wind farms and communication cables in the North Sea, according to new allegations.

 

The details come from a joint investigation by public broadcasters in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.

 

It says Russia has a fleet of vessels disguised as fishing trawlers and research vessels in the North Sea.

Sounds like a good job for the affected countries coast guards inspecting suspected vessels and if a Russian vessel resists a nato members coast guard boarding party it could it be considered an attack on nato?anyway run the orks off!

Such sabotage would be very silly indeed. The countries with such infrastructure in the North Sea, UK, Netherlands, Federal Republic of Germany, Denmark, and Norway are all members of NATO. Sweden has a defence agreement with the UK which effectively puts it under the NATO umbrella. An attack would produce a response from NATO.

No they haven't. The accusation is the 'intelligence' services think that the russians might consider sabotage. No such sabotage has been reported from the North Sea.

 

Just another case to demonstrate the first casualty of war is the truth.

Got to prove it was the Russians. Now, who sabotaged the undersea gas pipelines? There have been no real answers to that one, as far as I know. Certainly, it hasn't been proved that Russia did it. Just accusation and counter accusation.

No doubt it's wandering course can be explained by an attempt to navigate from the UK to the Baltic using a domestically produced (Russian) GPS receiver.

 

Chips from looted washing machines are only capable of so much modification! It appears to have gone into a "spin cycle" off the coast of Eastern Scotland!

russia has a bad problem with lack of ball bearings and they cant build  anything  from tanks to trains, boats ,planes engines .. as they used to come from germany and sweden so theyre screwed

Denmark confirms sighting of Russian ship near Nord Stream pipeline days before explosion

 

"Russian SS-750 specialized vessel, which carries a submarine on board, was photographed close to the location of the Nord Steam pipelines that were sabotaged in September 2022. The sighting was confirmed by Danish forces on April 27, who spoke to the Danish newspaper Dagbladet Information.

The defense command told Dagbladet Information that the presence of the SS-750 was confirmed with 26 photos taken from a Danish patrol boat on Sept. 22, four days before the explosion."
