webfact Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Tangmo, photo via Instagram. by Samantha Rose The case of the late actress Tangmo Patcharida Wachiraweerapong’s death continues in Nonthaburi Provincial Court, divided into two separate parts. Previously, suspects Tanuthaphat “Poh” Lertwittayawiset and Paiboon “Robert” Trikanjananun had confessed their involvement. This left four other suspects, Zen Visapach Manomaiyarat, Kritik “Job” Nitatsak Keeratisutthasathorn, and Pheem Dharmatheerasanee or “Em,” to deny the allegations and fight their case in court. The Nonthaburi Provincial Court has ordered the separation of the case based on the defendants who confessed and those who denied the allegations. Evidence from both parties would be scrutinised before the trial proceeded yesterday. The two sides have already given interviews to the media along with their respective lawyers. Tangmo‘s mother, Phanida, has presented new evidence related to various employment contracts worth over 10 million baht per year. She is suing for a compensation fee of 179 million baht. Reports indicate that after submitting various pieces of evidence for the trial from both parties, Phanida filed a request for Zen Visapach’s bail to be denied, alleging that Zen tampered with vital evidence and had issues with the public prosecutor. The court found no grounds for these claims and dismissed the request. Popular Post Bangkok Barry Posted April 29, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 29, 2023 So the deceased was going to give 179,000,000 baht to her mother? Why else would the mother demand 'compensation'? Pathetic woman. 20 4 2

Popular Post richard_smith237 Posted April 29, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 29, 2023 If I’m not mistaken... The mother was also ‘somewhat estranged’ from the Daughter after a divorce when the actress (Tangmo) was 3 years old and only recently before the death of Tangmo reconnected. Not only that, her motherhood itself is in question as Panida’s (the alleged mother’s) ID number was not recorded on Nida “Tangmo” Patcharaveerapong's Birth Certificate. AND... Didn’t she ‘forgive for a price’ of 30 MB in around March 2022... then rejected it after public outcry, then accepted 10 MB later in Sept 2022 ?? This reads simply as the mother being money hungry and nothing about wanting justice for the death of Tangmo. 16 5 3 1

OneZero Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 I Apologize for not being up to date on this case. Two of the suspects already confessed to what? Just negligence or something criminal? Quote: "Previously, suspects Tanuthaphat “Poh” Lertwittayawiset and Paiboon “Robert” Trikanjananun had confessed their involvement."
thairookie Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 The clue is how much the lawyers of both sides will share if the amount is settled for a fraction of 179 million baht. If I were Tangmo's mother's lawyer, I would promise my client the sky in order for her to retain me. Like a property agent, I would promise my client I would be able to sell her property for a price that she could only dream. 1

Popular Post tomazbodner Posted April 29, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 29, 2023 DELETED Given the greed involved, she might sue me. 3
renaissanc Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 How does she think she'll get the money from the two? @ 10,000 Baht per month she'll get the money in 124 years.
jcmj Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Give her what they give to a Foreigners family when one of their loved one dies. A wai and a lot of questions. Although, with the new proposed laws they may get a million Baht. If they are lucky. This lady deserves nothing but justice. 1 1
bristolgeoff Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 From what i understand the daughter was always the cash cow for the family or mother.Happens in many parts of thailand the daughter has to provide for them. Now she is dead the mother is getting the last of the possible money if allowed to take off the suspects. This is thailand and if another parent or mother loses a child the same will happen. Happened to a friend and thai wife, man drunk wrong way up the road hit the car dead.Took many family members to harrass them, but not they fault. But in the end the thai wife said just pay them the money so they leave us alone. It cost them a 1,000 pound 60k in baht and was not harrassed again. This is thailand and a not very nice part of culture

So it depends who the victim is and how rich and connected the perps are. 1

Don't forget, it happens in your country also.

This lady has lost an income, yes, but she has lost potentially 40 years with daughter - how due you value time ? I think should ask for far more and sue them into oblivion The kid that killed my daughter was fined $450 dollars in a US court. So - I know first hand what justice is and what justice isn't. The unremorseful little snot should be happy I'm not an "eye-for-and-eye" type of man. The state would not do anything, his family distanced themselves from him, and civil court was out of the question as he was filing bankruptcy in anticipation of a civil case and I had no desire to file a civil action. What do you do when there is no justice for your child who's life was cut short before it had a chance to start? And I lost my only child. It has a huge impact on my world-view. Some days I wish I was an "eye-for-and-eye" kinda guy as I have suffered immensely and still do. However - justice is not 197 million THB either. Her daughter may have been a flash-in-pan <poof>. One and done. Or fame and greed may have gone to her head and she may have just cut her mom off, or just an argument over anything and "Bye Mom." Anyway, money doesn't replace your child which is why I never considered a civil suit although my lawyer was geared and ready to go. The kid should have been locked up for a year or so to give him time to do - penance - like in a penitentiary from whence it got its name. He should have sat in a cell and reflected on the consequence of his negligent action . I would have considered that "justice." He was completely unremorseful and hid from me like the little ***** Nancy-boy he was and still is. But no - my daughter's life and my suffering according to the US justice system is worth: $450 US Dollars. Yeah, he should be really, really happy I'm not an "eye-for-and-eye" type of guy. 26 years later and I still agonize over her death. It does not get any easier over time. Regarding this case where mum wants 179 million THB. My impression is that money is more important to her than the loss of her kid. If money assuages grief and loss - then there isn't much in the way of grief and lost in the first place. In her place I'd pass on the money and ask the court for prison time for those involved.Penance! Forcefully provided the time to reflect on what they did. That's the only justice there is in my humble opinion. 3 3 1

Popular Post MrJ2U Posted April 29, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 29, 2023 Ridiculous All parties involved acted recklessly. Small boat with no lights at night on the busy Chau Phraya. Suspected alcohol involved. Sadly poor decisions by all involved. 2 2
PingRoundTheWorld Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Lost her revenue stream, so she demands compensation. Sad that this is what her daughter's life is worth to her, but understandable. What's not understandable is the amount she demands. The daugher wouldn't have brought in 179 mil in the remainder of her career - the shelf life of idols is very limited. And that's before discounting the fact that the mother would get only a fraction of the revenue. If she already received 10 mil in compensation then that's more than enough. She's shown contracts for 10 mil - which means that after taxes and the daughter's own expenses the mother would get what out of that? 1-2 mil? so she's suing for 90 years in advance? ???? 2

Based on what an officer actually earns on the books, that probably compensated the family for lost wages. Maybe. Maybe not.
BE88 Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 The more the request increases and because it is sure that it will be paid.
