The impact caused the woman to be thrown onto the road, where she was subsequently hit by another vehicle and killed. The victim, Ms. Pornwalai Boonpok, 37, a caddy, was riding on the back of her friend’s motorbike, Ms. Arunwan Wannawong, 39, when they were reportedly hit in the back by a white MG sedan. The two women were flung off their vehicle from the impact and landed on the road, where Ms. Pornwalai unfortunately got hit by a passing pickup truck. She was pronounced dead from her grievous head injuries at the scene of the accident on Sukhumvit Road inbound to Pattaya in the Na Jomtien sub-district, Sattahip district, Chonburi. ezzra
The pinball machine scenario in an accident is the worse, where one is hit and bounce into the path of other vehicles, involving multiple parties in the event.
Popular Post Pique Dard
i don't know if there's a good way to die, but this one is particularly agonizing. Popular Post JoeW
If you look at the pictures from another news source, you will see that the white MG hit the motorcycle from the side (left fender, side mirror damage, etc). This might indicate that the motorcycle driver cut in front of the MG on a very badly-lit road. Not much the driver of the white MG could have done to avoid this. 2 2 1 1

Got one second day of my new car, I was indicating left turn, then a M/C came up on the inside as i was turning, just clipped my front left wheel, she tumbled over, i got out my car and she quickly got back up and drove off. BangkokReady
I guess whizzing along with no helmets on. Very sad, but very avoidable. The head is extremely vulnerable to impact.

Seems from this statement that Christopher hit them, not that they cut in front of him. Sounds like tailgating: "Mr. Sommai claimed that Mr. Christopher rear ended the victims’ vehicle, causing them to fall onto his lane. He said he could not brake and crashed into the victim, which killed her."

"This might indicate that the motorcycle driver cut in front of the MG". Just as likely that it does not indicate that. Why are you suggesting that the blame lies with the woman on the bike? I don't blame anyone, but according to the article the blame lays 100% with the driver of the white MG. Looking at the pictures, the MG didn't rear end the motorcycle driver, but either hit the motorcycle driver from the side OR the motorcycle driver cut in front of the white MG. From the pictures, I think you can say that the road isn't well-lit. (pictures are from KhaoSod). Finally, the white MG was driving in the right lane. What is the motorcycle driver doing there? As far as I know, they can only drive in the left lane. Edited May 2, 2023 by JoeW

Expand I don't blame anyone, but according to the article the blame lays 100% with the driver of the white MG. "...according to the article the blame lays 100% with the driver of the white MG". That's incorrect, neither the Asean Now OP, nor the linked article, "100% blames the car driver" (and therefore, by definition, 100% exonerates the motorcyclist). It does, however, report what allegedly happened without apportioning blame. Maybe I'm missing where that is categorically stated, though, and, if it is, I'm sure that you will be able to quote it from either article.
