Popular Post ezzra
The real question that should be asked here, is how the lives of the Thai people have benefited from such income, if at all. 4

It's nominal. But more importantly, it does seem to be quite the promoted and stimulating subject matter [ad nauseam] among particular circles....... dinsdale
So how much of this is Malaysians hopping the border doing shopping? 4 hours ago, webfact said: While more tourists from Asean countries, East and South Asia plus Africa came to Thailand last week, there was a seasonal decline from other regions. I'm actually wondering how many others can come out with stats. We've had TAT, Banking now Sports and Tourism so who's next? 1

Interesting that they don't announce the average length of tourists' vacation anymore. With a high percentage of day-trippers, e.g. from Malaysia, what is it now, less than 1 week on average? 1
Popular Post Jotnar
As long as they're spending money, who cares. Whether a daytrip at border, long weekend, week or month, all money into the economy. 1

They paid me 50,000 THB. Multiply that by the population of the USA, minus the population of the USB, divided by the population of the USC, squared. Take the number you first thought of and multiply it by your age in months. Take away the combined salaries of TAT staff, and there you have it. Easy! 353,331 billion. 1
crazykopite
It always amazes me how they come up with the figures how do you tell the difference with a foreign tourist and a Thai shopping in let’s say Central plaza

I suspect they are benefitting much more than 2021, when there were less than 500,000 international visitors for the entire year.
