A British teenager has been found dead with head wounds in a forest in Thailand as police begin the search for his missing girlfriend.

Woramet Ben Taota, 16, went for a motorcycle ride with Yam, also 16, in his hometown of Lampang on Saturday but did not return home.

Police have started a search for Yam (pictured), who was reportedly with Ben on Saturday

Local police said they received a report on Sunday morning that Ben had been found dead in a grove in the Ban Than district, with injuries resembling blunt force.

Officers reported that the teenager's phone and cash were missing from his shoulder bag, and suggested he might have been robbed.

They believe he was killed elsewhere and left in the woods as there were no signs of struggle. His partner has not been found as of Monday 8 May.

You must be new in Thailand.

It was obviously a rejected Thai male.

Almost certainly the girl rejected him in favor of the lukkreung.

With a very, very slight possibility of the killer being a rejected gay Thai boy.

Or it could have been one of their teachers that they interrupted on his/her way to rob the local gold shop with a shotgun.

Yeah I revised my post before you replied. I agree.

Both their FB are interesting, seems like a really nice kid and girlfriend, you are right going to be more to the story, he was more Thai than British

Yes, his name would suggest that.

RIP kid.   There is no mention of his motorbike's whereabouts, find that and with luck find Yam, sounds like an abduction maybe, rival boyfriend?

Why is a 16 yr old British kid travelling in Thailand alone.  There is absolutely no way I would let my child travel alone.

Because he is half Thai, half Brit, born and living in Thailand ?
Reading more than a misleading ASEAN NOW headline might help ...

Thai Psychosis would make a great dissertation topic for a degree!

There is no such thing as a "Thai Psychosis", there is however a "Thai Psyche" and you seem to have confused the two...

Thai Psychosis: All Thai people are hallucinating and are deluded.

Thai Psyche: The Thai soul, mind, spirit.

When in doubt, highlight the word and search for its meaning, this will help your future posts appear more educated.
