In response to an imminent weather warning from the Thai Meteorological Department, the Phuket Marine Office has issued a cautionary notice for boat captains, warning small boats of less than 13 metres in length from leaving ports into the open sea from May 11 to May 14, this Thursday to Sunday.

According to the TMD, there will be “heavy rain and strong waves in the Andaman Sea”, with “waves up to four metres high in the open sea or even higher in a thunderstorm area”.
