Putin 'prepared to put a stop' to Yevgeny Prigozhin after the Wagner boss called him a 'complete a**hole'

Yevgeny has discovered that his shiny, and profitable Wagner Group which was designed to do Moscow's bidding in places like Syria and Sub Saharan Africa, where as long as they kept away from the Americans and French they could pretty well do what they want, is being dismantled by the fighting in Eastern Ukraine.

 

This split poses problems for both Putin and Yevgeny. Their is nothing quite as vulnerable as a warlord who has run out of soldiers.

 

If they go, withdrawn, desert or killed, Putin appears to have nothing in reserve apart from the middle aged conscripts and the 1960s kit they can scrape together to equip them.

Yevgeny Prigozhin probably also has friends in very high places and if I were Putin I would be very wary who I put my trust in.

If Yevgeny has run out of soldiers, then he's run out of steam and run out of luck.

If this is true, then Putin has decided that it's worth weakening the Russian position in Ukraine in order to deal with Prigozhin.
