Is Royal Ploughing Day a holiday for government employees? I looked on Google, but I couldn't find a clear answer. Thanks.

According to the results that I found,  Royal Ploughing Day is a holiday for civil servants and state enterprise workers, and government offices will be closed.

The Thaiger:

Later in the month, another public holiday will occur on Wednesday, May 17, which marks the Royal Ploughing Ceremony. Consequently, immigration offices will remain closed on this day as well

Pattaya Mail:

Also this month, is another public holiday as Wednesday May 17 is Royal Ploughing Ceremony. That’s another immigration stay away.

Do you have a source for this information or is this just guess work?

There is a post above yours with sources that says they are closed!

Closed. It's a government holiday (but not a bank holiday).

Read the posts above yours which have sources!

Please try to keep up, the sources in the post above were my sources.

I was asking for the sources from DrJack54, to verify his claim that immigration is open on May 17, which is probably why I quoted his post.

My mistake. I checked May 17 but foolishly wrong year.

Immigration closed.

Ask your wife to give you one smack on naked bottom.

I once went to Immigration on this holiday without realising it and found it closed. As a result I had to delay a business trip to Singapore because I couldn't re-endorse my PR books.

Hope it’s not a school holiday…

Some schools will close, some won't. It's up to the school.
