Best Wise alternative for sending THB?

Recommended Posts

I've used Deemoney and Bangkok Bank to do this. No problems with either. I had to register with Deemoney first which required uploading some paperwork, a couple of phone calls and an exchange of emails and took a couple of days to get approved. I was already a customer with Bangkok Bank and registration was online and approval within a day.

Sounds good... For Deemomey how much do you pay for a transfer of over 20,000 THB into GBP

Also what paperwork do they require?

Cheers

Wasn't aware you could do this. What are the steps and how much does it cost?

Possible but high fees

And <deleted> exchange rate. Can't beat Wise.

370,000 baht sent by my Bkk bank via swift worked out about £4 something from memor, it's not something I do all the time, the safety of the money is my thing.

How can I send money out of Thailand?

  1. Bank transfer. A direct bank transfer is a reliable and easy way to transfer money abroad if you have a local Thai bank account. ...
  2. DeeMoney. DeeMoney is a dedicated Thai remittance service. ...
  3. Western Union & MoneyGram. ...
  4. Cryptocurrency. ...
  5. Cash conversion. ...
  6. Skrill. ...
  7. PayPal.

DeeMoney seems to offer the best rates and fees from what I have heard.

I'm utterly outraged with Wise despicable behaviour

After all my praise of Wise and its lightening speed my transfer this morning took a ludicrous 17 minutes

Its not acceptable and Wise are for the chop ????

Pound cost averaging on Sterling working very nicely currently. 8 transfers completed since June 2nd

It varies. Sometimes 8 seconds, sometimes 30 minutes.

I remember as many other will transfers in the 90's taking 3-4 working days and you had no idea if it arrived unless you went in the bank concerned

Still takes 1 to 2 days with some bank transfers. Osko is instant but not all use it.

Bigger transfers of mine take up to 3 days .

From Nab in Aus to Wise in Aus to Bangkok Bank Thailand.

Yep, same process for me with St George. If I used St George, the fee would be double and 1BHT per 1AUD dif in the exchange rate!!!

A friend sent me some THB from Thailand via Deemoney to my UK account on Sunday evening.

Still not arrived yet, is this normal?

Because Monday. was a holiday in US .

As DM international transactions are US$ based this is their reason for Monday being. A non working day. 35 countries are affected by this process.

Convert your THB to UK £ in Wise and send.

This is not possible. However if you wish you can transfer THB from your Thai bank via Dee Money into your Wise sterling or $ accounts. Or any other account I guess.

Still not come through!

Mine arrived this morning around 10:00 am but only after I confirmed recipient account details.

To date they are not honouring their next working day delivery guantee, just keep sending apologies.
