Sri Racha Thief Tries to Sell Stolen Item Online and Ends Up in Handcuffs

Sri Racha — A daring thief in Sri Racha attempted to sell a coffee grinder that he had stolen from a coffee shop and was subsequently arrested.

The thief was identified by relevant police as Mr. Ruengrit Chinpracha, 22, and was apprehended at the front of his house in the Sri Racha district, Chonburi province, along with a total of 22 confiscated items, roughly including clothing used in the commission of the crime, lockpicking tools, a Honda Click motorcycle, mobile phones, and coffee-making equipment.

 

The arrest was made yesterday, July 13th, following a police report from the victim, Ms. Pimchanok Bangpub, a 25-year-old owner of a coffee shop located in Banglamung district.

Not the brightest light in the room. No thought that he might be captured on CCTV. And then advertising his stolen goods on social media for anyone to find. That happens a lot here. No thought that police might - do - use social media in their investigations. Often, it seems, they find people, usually teenagers, trading people for sex - on a public forum. Just today we had a report of one such brain-dead idiot doing it on Twitter.
