I received an email from the embassy. You can call or email and ask about the status, but my guess is that it was "mailed" from the USA to Thailand and the embassy has not yet received/ processed/ sent out to you. The embassy registers the tracking when they get your application and it didn't update for me until 3 days after I received that email.

It used to be that you could take your existing, valid passport to the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok and have pages added to it.

 

Is that still an option?

 

I went that route with my last passport, but that was a few years ago.

No

I got my new passport in 4 weeks last month. When I read the embassy website about possible 13 weeks, I was scared I couldn't make my 90 day report. No worries. All is good.
