Such a Hairy Guy Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 I read on one of the legal website the spouse follower on a NON-O retirement visa had to be below 50 years old. Is this correct? Retirement requirements with a wife | ThaiEmbassy.com I could not find additional information from the Thai Immigration web site on this... Thank you in advance for your help.
BritTim Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 There is no age restriction on your spouse piggy backing off your long term permission to stay (well, a Muslim marriage to someone under the age of 18 might not be allowed). 1 1

Under the Civil and Commercial Code of Thailand 1985 the minimum legal age of marriage is 20 years. However, individuals are able to marry at 17 years with parental consent.

NativeBob Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 Wow! So retiree can apply for "follower visa" for his spouse and kids too? Even if kid is about 20 y.o.? Once I asked IO at CW she mumbled something "mei-day" but didn't look certain.

As I recall, while your spouse can simply piggyback off your long term permission to stay, the rules are different for your foreign children. 2
