Don't blame Thailand for your lack of financial accomplishment.

See how we got all the unhappy and miserable foreigners going in this thread. First, it should be forbidden to start threads like this. Anyway here is my five in order of relevance.

1. People who live in or frequently travel to Thailand who start threads like this.

2. People who live in or travel to Thailand and complain over everything. (Stay home!)

3. Crazy foreigners who fall or jump of balconies. (Even more temple jumpers).

4. Foreigners who can´t accept the Thai ways. (You are the guest, remember!)

5. All the fools who still come to Thailand to open a bar and be the pimp of the town.

With the relaxation of the TM-30 requirement and the on-line 90 day reporting system finally working, immigration has never been better.

Really don't have any complaints. Neighbors are considerate, no crime, no drugs; peaceful village life. After reading about what's going on elsewhere in the world, feel like dropping down on my knees and thanking God I live here.

From what I see, those who answered the question honestly have generally mentioned issues that Thais would likely agree with too. But there's always those who feel the need to hijack the thread and make it about hating westerners. Nice way to make forum members feel welcome. You just can't stop attacking one another can you?

the bull sees all other bulls as rivals for his cows and will attack on sight.

cows all stick together.

Back to the OP,

Nothing really bothers me, I'm quite happy here.

I enjoy the freedom of being a foreigner in Thailand and choose my poison carefully or avoud them completely!

If I have to choose, Iwould say noise, smoke, the heat in hot season, and smelly streets, but as said, Im able to avoid it completely, so no stress!

5 stupid crazy traffic, and something I have to live with, since enjoy travelling both on motorbikes and cars. So far no issues except a few close calls almost every day riding, but you get used to it, and learn the pattern of the most death traps, and know how to avoid them in time.

Life is great in Thailand, and better than most countries I have been to.

Why does it bother you what other people do with their lives? Does their lifestyle affect you in any way?

The term wowser springs to mind.

It paints a bad picture of most foreigners here in Thailand, how some behave! Stereo typing people is not uknown, even here, where treads after treads stereo typing thais, and maybe especially thai women!

The bad pictures I get here are of loud, drunk, obnoxious, dirty foreigners who dress as if they are about to go fossicking on the local garbage dump.

Thais might think any Thai woman with a foreigner is a prostitute. I've never thought that way.

you have those who believes every woman is a prostitute one way or the other! Just because they have a husband who supports them!

Why in heavens name would you live in, or visit, a country that you can name 5 things you 'hate' about it? I don't 'hate anything about Thailand, the country I have chosen to live in. If I did, then I wouldn't be here and neither would any sensible person.   Some things irritate me on occasions, some things disappoint me,  many things surprise me, and I'm sad about a few things here, such as the death toll on the roads, but 'hate', no, I wouldnt use that word for anything here.

1. Blaring music.

2. Ridiculously reckless drivers on the highway.

3. The highway patrol utterly refusing to patrol the highways.

4. Everything about the Thai army.

5. Every politician.

Next four:

6. The complete inability of the Thai people to guess what I am saying, when I do not pronounce the words perfectly.

7. The heat.

8. The foul air 4 or 5 months of the year.

9. The completely nonsensical import wine tax.

That is about it. I love most everything else about the place and the people.

I am very confident I could drink you under the table. And i will bring my bong along to give myself a handicap.

My opinion is in the majority.

Dirty, ugly old foreign men who can not actually pull women, parading about shopping centers, in restaurants with impoverished girls half their age and weight is ugly to see.

If it wasnt for their economic disadvantage they wouldnt be with you.

It is exploitation, it is as simple as that.

They dont want to be with you or seen in public with you.

If you really wanted to help them you would give them money without making them have sex with you. But you dont, it is perverted.

It is pathetic.

Just my opinion of course. Along with the majority.

The term wowser does not only apply to people who don't like alcohol, it means a killjoy in general.

I drink very rarely, it doesn't mean I object to other people doing it. Their life, their business. Just as my life is none of your business. If you want to kill what few remaining brain cells you have left with alcohol, or develop paranoia with extensive pot use, be my guest.

My Thai GF thinks I am the best thing that has ever happened to her, and prays to Buddha every night for a long life for me. Explain how that is exploitation.

You proffer the opinion the majority thinks the same way you do - twice. As if it is established fact. It's called begging the question, or arguing in a circle.

What's pathetic is your sanctimony.
