I get them too, usually a pretty woman with very few photos, probably a male scammer trying to build up friends before they do something dodgy.

I don't accept friend requests unless i know the person

I seriously cannot understand your thread.

Of course everyone gets friend request on Facebook.

Generally from young Thai ladies.

And you are surprised and post a "warning"

Ridiculous.

I like to know how you escaped my ignore section ????

I get this on FB as well.  It's almost always women with a very small profile that seems very dubious.  I also get this on LINE with some stupid reason as to why they are contacting me.  I just reply that no, we have never met blah, blah, blah.

And where is the danger? You can just block when you get tired, right? Useless thread!

so your friend list is likely many fakes who use their profile for dodgy things like selling items etc, it doesn't effect you so you don't care

Many fake profiles, what could they be used for?

I get them now and again on LINE too. All pretty, all fake I'm sure. As for FB, I've always had the policy of only 'friending' people I've met. The one or two exceptions I've made haven't lasted long.

Same. I wonder how they get the number, or is there a way to trawl for people that I don't know about?

The friends thing is a nonsense for me on Facebook anyway, I'm not interested in photos of food and what's going on with people i hardly know, so i unfollow, but Facebook is good apart from that
