still kicking Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 It might sound funny, but I have a stiff neck for many weeks now, used all the creams on the market nothing helps so could it be something else? 1 1 1
scubascuba3 Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 A massage lady clicked my neck, I didn't expect her to do it but wow what a difference 1
bkk6060 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Those creams are mostly worthless better to try some anti inflammatory like Advil. I get this problem a few times a year. I go to a lady who gives a great deep neck and shoulder massage. After about 5 sessions, it gets much better and eventually goes away. Also, a stiff neck can actually be from a shoulder issue. So, if it does not get better go to an Orthopedic Doctor and check it out. 1

brianthainess Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Try Mussel relax tablets (have you been stressed over something). A good pharmacist should help.
BangkokReady Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Did anything change? New device? New chair? Started using your phone more? Sitting differently at the computer? Watching TV more? New pillow? It's surprising what can cause muscle pain, even if the activity doesn't directly cause pain while doing it. I was getting pain in my shoulder for a while during covid lockdown before I realised it was due to having been sitting at the computer for hours leaning my elbow on the desk.
GaiwanAddict Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Try Sauna. 15-20 minutes (5-10 if you are a Sauna novice) 80 degrees Celsius.

blackcab Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Pillow. Especially if you get out of bed very stiff and sore, and it gets better during the day, only to get worse the next morning.
Sheryl Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Pillow and exercises. Massage can help IF it is done right by someone with formal training....which can be hard to ensure here. Done wrong can mxmake matters worse or even cause permanent harm. 1
