The Turkey and the Gobshyte
Were walking hand in hand
In flip-flops and wife-beaters
Across the Pattaya sand
"Wouldn't it be wonderful
If all alcohol was banned?"

"If all bargirls had lady drinks
And drank for half a year
What are the chances" the Turkey said
"That they would run out of beer?"
"I doubt it", said the Gobshyte
As he gave a girl a leer.

"Oh bargirls, come and talk to us"
The Turkey did implore
"A drunken talk, an unsteady walk
To behind the toilet door
We cannot pay for more than one
Though we could drink much more"

The mama san looked at him
And pointed at the wall
A sign that read 'No Cheap Charlies
Are welcome here at all.'
The Gobshyte nursed his empty glass,
Sat anchored to his stool.

"The time has come" the Turkey said
"To post so many things
On ASEAN Now, of Aussie slang -
Of trolling fights - and grins
And why Gob's wife is cold as ice
And why his postman sings."

I had and read both as a kid, my dad nicked them from the factory, he worked at where they were bound, beautiful illustrations, covered with tissue paper. I can see them still in my mind. 

I like it, a departure from the usual ASEAN threads. Might even get the GG seal of approval.
