Influenza infection cases triple in a year, topping 970,000 with one fatality reported

In an alarming public health update, the Department of Disease Control (DDC) has noted that the annual influenza infection figures have exceeded 970,000 this year. A stark increase from last year’s number at this point, this figure is triple the magnitude, conveying the highly contagious nature of seasonal flu.

A fatality has been reported among the infected individuals. The unfortunate case is a 39 year old male beset with complications stemming from both alcoholism and chronic liver disease, stated Deputy Director-General of the DDC, Dr Sopon Iamsirithaworn.

Dr Sopon emphasised that vaccination is pivotal for those classed under the at-risk population, including anyone crossing the age of 65 and those grappling with chronic ailments. Meanwhile, he urged others to exercise isolation and use face masks if they find themselves with influenza infection symptoms.

So this fellow dies from Covid 19...(the unfortunate case is a 39 year old male beset with complications stemming from both alcoholism and chronic liver disease) whats the message here? his health was in jeopardy due to drinking but covid killed him?

One foot on a banana peel the other on a skateboard.

So much for  the  majority of Thai's still wearing masks

not difficult to fathom out why when Influenza cases mysteriously disappeared almost completely during Covid. Now Covid is no longer newsworthy Flu has miraculously returned with a vengeance? Or..............?

So ironic, no flu during the BS covid pandemic yet now thats behind us it seems we may have a pending influenza pandemic!

If the DDC had any common sense they would be issuing advise on how to keep ones immune system prepped but that would mean they were displaying a sense of responsibility.  Too much to expect from government agencies in this day and age!!!

I am consistently astonished by the unwavering attitude of those who oppose the fact that some of us find comfort in wearing masks and acknowledge the tangible protection it offers

I don't know where you are based, but here in CM a small minority still wears them - unless you are in a hospital then I agree the majority.

Haven’t worn a mask in a couple years and don’t plan on wearing one again. It’s pure fear tactics and why should anyone care if they choose to wear a mask then they are “protected “. Utter rubbish. If it’s not one thing it’s another. They don’t want to lose their sheep.

Good. When they kick you off the plane you fight as hard as you can for your rights.

You can let this particular campaign go now......nobody cares a hoot if you wear a mask now, (although not wearing one must give you fr less personal ego massaging than it used to)....take a nap, or why not join the weed liberation campaign, or rights for pit bulls group?

Amazingly enough, the incidence of influenza - a virus that spreads from human to human - plummeted when people were staying home, keeping well away from others whenever they left the house, and wearing masks to block their saliva droplets. You don't need a conspiracy theory to explain that.

If a medical professional suggests wearing a mask, no problem if you are over 65 and don't want to. When the ambulance arrives tell them to go away as is your right.

Lots of people are sick these days, there seems to be a major outbreak of failing immune systems.

There will always be the flock of sheeple for the government, W.H.O. and W.E.F. to control.

t is only now coming to light that lockdowns, forced vaccinations, etc are all against the basic human rights of every individual.
