Trump surrenders for historic fourth arrest

Former President Trump has surrendered to authorities in Georgia on Thursday evening following an indictment by a grand jury on 13 criminal counts stemming from his efforts to overturn the 2020 election in the state.

Trump will not enter a plea at this time. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) has requested arraignments for the 19 co-defendants in the election interference case just after Labor Day.

Trump’s bail is set at $200,000, and the order also places rules on his social media use and his ability to talk to co-defendants and witnesses about the case.

Trump arrived at the jail just after 7:30 p.m. ET, spending about 22 minutes inside being booked before his release. A massive motorcade and police presence accompanied him to the jail from the Atlanta airport and back.

Funny, in Thailand I recall martial law, curfews, soldiers on the streets, military roadblocks, rule by decree (section 44 interim constitution), rewriting the constitution, banning the novel "1984", banning the Hunger Games salute, banning assemblies of five or more persons, banning eating a sandwich in public "for political purposes".....

 

I don't remember any of that under Biden.  Though I can definitely imagine these things and more happening under Trump if he had succeeded in overturning the election.

Please advise which of the 91 charges against Trump are false.

 

Let me remind you of an old legal maxim:

 

"When the facts are against you, argue the law.

 

When the law is against you, argue the facts.

 

When the law AND the facts are against you, talk about random stuff like lawfare and weaponization".

 

So  you can't argue the law or the facts, apparently.

Actually, some of Trump's favorite people pushed a kind of military coup when they advocated declaring martial law and having the military confiscate voting machines. Even after they made that proposal, they are still some of his favorite people.

And here's what Trump wrote on Truth Social:

"A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great ‘Founders’ did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!”"

He followed up by posting “UNPRECEDENTED FRAUD REQUIRES UNPRECEDENTED CURE!”

Hundreds of pages of indictments are a pretty decent affirmation.

 

There are no real denials, just mumblings about weaponization.

Uh-huh . . . why would that be?  He has so many charges laid against him that he will be hoisted by his own petard . . . nothing to do with anyone else let alone anyone else here with zero influence. 

 

What is odd, conversely it is perverse that some here seem intent on him not being jailed due to their personal political view rather than whether he is guilt or not.  Hint:  He is guilty to anyone who has a shred of decency and knowledge of the laws he has broken. 

 

Can't wait to see him go to jail when he is found guilty . . . and he will be eventually for the crimes he commited
