And Raffsenperger is quoted as saying:

Secretary Raffensperger confirmed Mr. Meadows’s
limited role in the call (consistent with audio recording introduced into
evidence), noting that Mr. Meadows “was acting on behalf of the
President,” Tr. 219:14; making clear that he (Raffsenperger) did not believe Mr. Meadows’s participation or statements on the call were
“inappropriate,” Tr. 220:16; and acknowledging that Mr. Meadows did
not make any requests to change vote totals,

A friendly reminder - Raffensberger is a Republican, with career aim to be advanced from current position - so whatever truth managed to come out of his mouth, it only does so from one side while the other side of the mouth stays paralyzed. A la Pence.

And as someone here has pointed out, Raff could say he didn't feel threatened while a gun was pointed at his head. That however doesn't negate the fact that someone pointed a gun at his head.

Excellent. It will be fun to watch Trump squirm and to see his antics. My guess is the judge will have little patience for his juvenile behavior. Can we see it here? It would be great entertainment.

Judge has no real power. Will be appealed if anything or dismissed.

Raffensperger was a Prosecution witness under oath in a Federal Court.

Actually, those are people who accepted the election outcome. They did not concoct a scheme to appoint fake electors. They didn't claim Hugo Chavez rose from the grave, programmed an Italian satellite, and then had it alter voting machine votes. They didn't call SecStates where HRC lost telling the SecState to "just find me [enough votes to cheat and win]". They didn't host a presser at Four Seasons [home & garden] next to a porn shop selling adult toys (one-stop shopping for trumpers).

Contrast that with trump, rudy, sidney, cheesbro, eastman, etc.

So the violence in the street didnt happen in 2016? TV must have been fake news.

I guess it's because some of us believe in democracy and rule of law, and if the traitor trump somehow cheats his way into the WH again, everything I know of my country, and everything better people than you or trump sacrificed to build over the last 250 years goes up in smoke.

I really enjoy your posts as they give some comic relief in these dark days. Democracy in this age? You must be havin' a laff. We have something labelled "democracy" but it's not actual "democracy", IMO.

Your screen and link above dated 2nd Aug: A lot has happened since then. Here's a more recent one from Aug 28th.

"A new Emerson College Polling survey of U.S. voters following the August Republican Primary debate finds half of Republican Primary voters (50%) plan to vote for Donald Trump, the lowest support to date for the former President in Emerson national polls. Trump’s support has dropped by six percentage points since last week’s pre-debate national poll."

Trump was highest in April with 62%. I bet he won't be posting this on his truth Social

Emerson College has an A rating from fivethirtyeight for its accuracy.

If such stats can be seen as empirical data then indeed we are witnessing  a mass en large of Americans who are deeply psychologically disturbed, and compromised.

But, but he claims he did'nt do anything wrong! He'll treat this like a celebrity appearance! Watch the buffoon milk it for more than it's worth!

He didn't want to appear for arraignment precisely because it's gonna bring home the reality, truth and gravity of what's going on even to the dumbest MAGA punter.

Trump is going to blame Powell and Giuliani and they will blame him. The trials are likely to be separated at Trump's behest and popcorn sales will explode.

Trump’s defense is going to lean heavily on him saying that he was given bad advice by his lawyers (Giuliani and Powell) and that he was just doing what they advised him to do.

That could backfire badly, though, because Trump is on record saying that Powell is crazy and Giuliani a drunk. So if he knew that Powell was crazy and Giuliani was a drunk, why did he still listen to them and follow their advice?

Nice argument if that was all the advice he received but we know it wasn't.
