I just say that it is better for the customer when there is no expiry of the card. Some guys here do not seem to argue for themselves or the customers of the food court, but rather for the corporations. All variant of "blame the victim". If there is an angle to blame the customer and free the corporations they go for it.

Of course it is. But the thing is that you live, presumably at least partially, in the real world.

It has been pointed out to you several times that these cards were not designed as a tool for the consumer. That you find it convenient to keep hold of a bunch of them is fine. But if you decide to do so, it's up to you to make sure you're doing it right.

It's a good job that you weren't around in the paper voucher days; those generally had to be used on the same day. I dread to think how upsetting you would have found that!

They do argue for themselves. Did you?

I found a Gift Card, in my country, that was nearly five years past it’s expiry date. Called Customer Service, they found the record, but there was nothing they could do. Sent a note to the CEO; reissued.
