Most of this trial is totally bogus - the fact a judge with no history of real estate has said that trumps home in Florida is worth 18 million dollars, when it would sell for half a billion up is all you need to know about this sham. Mar-a-Lago  is 20 plus acres of prime real estate, the building has 128 rooms - including 58 bedroom & 33 bathrooms. Smaller empty lots are up for sale at over $100,000,000 so how can a judge possibly be worth 18 ? Total sham.

 

Like him or loathe him - at least play fair, but what do you expect with  democrat prosecutor and a democrat judge in a democrat state ?

So why did Trumps own company in 2020 agree with a property appraiser that it was worth just $27 million?

 

In fact, the judge had cited Palm Beach County Property Appraiser valuations putting the property at between $18 million and $28 million, depending on the year, from 2011 to 2021.

I think you should know by now that whatever "facts" the ex-President spouts are unlikely to be rooted in veracity. This is completely untrue.

He is referring to 80% of the charges relating to things that occurred prior to the statute of limitations expiring. Unfortunately (for him), however, if those actions were tied to subsequent ones, then it's not relevant and the charges stand. Also the Judge notes that a reoccurrence of the crime that had expired restarts the statute of limitations. So he's got two different hurdles he needs to get over to have those charges dismissed, and there will still be 20% of the charges remaining afterwards regardless. One should also note that the presiding Judge has also ruled that those 80% of the charges are NOT dismissed. So you have to appeal to get that situation changed.

The judge doesn’t decide details of values, he refers to valuations prepared by people who do that for a living, and he refers to the differing valuations the defendant submitted in loan applications and tax filings.

 

In layman’s terms these are referred to as ‘the receipts’ and the prosecution have them.
