Popular Post webfact
The Crown Prince of Johor, Malaysia, was near the scene of Tuesday’s shooting at the Siam Paragon shopping mall in central Bangkok and has recounted, what he described as, his “worst experience”. Writing on his Facebook and X pages late on Tuesday night, Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim said he and his family were sitting in a hotel lobby near the shopping mall when, as the shooting began, people started shouting and running into the building, according to Malaysian and Singaporean media. He said their group, together with their security team, immediately ran to the hotel’s basement. “We had to be on alert and prepared for any circumstance, because all we knew at that point was that we had heard gunshots. We didn’t have any other information and had to be ready for anything,” Tunku Ismail said. Popular Post jcmj
Apparently he’s not too sure of his own security team. Poor guy. It seems like he was a lot better off than the rest of the people who had to run and get away or unfortunately died. I’m sure it was scary but I just don’t feel any sympathy towards him. At least he got himself in the spotlight again and made sure his fellow citizens know how safe Thailand is. Honestly it happens all over the world these days. People are just losing it these days. 2

Datsun 1200
If having to "run into the basement with my security team" is the worst experience of your life, you are in for some real "suffering" one day, and your terrible experience recently, won't seem so terrible. Trust me, there is no doubt.. IH

My friend at the RTP HQ Bangkok tells me my hero certificate is in the mail.???? Quite. I, myself, was, perhaps, not as near to the incident as the Crown Prince of Johor, being in Pattaya at the time, but I was certainly much closer than anyone in, say, Chiang Mai, and it was truly just as frightening to me as it was to the Crown Prince in his hotel, wherever it might have been. And also, like the Crown Prince, it was the 'worst thing' that has ever happened to me. Although, not being born a Crown Prince of Johor could possibly be worse, now that I think of it. Or, not. Advantages and disadvantages to carefully weigh, with royalty. But, I digress. Like you, I would have immediately taken cover under the sofa but my diet has not been as successful as one might have wanted, so squeezing under the sofa was a non-starter. Fortunately, my security team sprang into action and they were able to quickly surround me. Then, the team was able to get me to the safety of a nearby Dunkin Donuts, where I sheltered in place--saying to hell with the diet!--while my crack team set up a protection zone. Kudos on your medal, by the way. Well done, indeed! I expect we'll both be drinking and dining for free for the next month or so on our harrowing tales.
