According to Al Jazeera, it is the airlines that are suspending flights, out of an abundance of caution of course. And that will be why 10,000 Israeli tourists have suddenly found themselves stuck in Thailand. (and no doubt in other countries as well)

As I said before, IF Israel handled the Gaza Strip according to international law, this wouldn’t have happened.

The conflict started on Saturday morning so are they claiming that in 72 hours they have had 10,000 Israeli people arrive in Thailand an average flight have 300 people if this is the case they are claiming that they have had more than 30 flights just from Israel arrive since Saturday I would be gobsmacked if any flights actually left on Saturday during the attacks Israel is 4 hours behind Thailand

And I noticed you didn't comment on Hamas brutally breaking every possible human right laws and international laws throughout the years not to mention this past week, which is why I commented.

Your duplicate declaration that a terrorist organization founded by the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt in 1928 (20 years before the declaration of independence of Israel) and which publicly declares that its target is to occupy every part of Israel and kill every jew because they are jews would have acted any different if Israel behaved differently, is naiive at best.

You obviously didn't live in the jungle of the middle east nor do you understand the mentality of fundamentalist islamic terrorists such as Hamas, ISIS et al
Israel has withdrawn from all parts of Gaza years ago and would have gladly hand over all control to its residents if it wasn't for the terrorist leadership's and their Iranian patrons ongoing declared goal and actions to destroy Israel.
I also didn't see you comment about Egypt, their muslim brothers, blocking Gaza in that seventh land crossing. One gotta wonder why they also don't want anything to do with Gaza and refused to take it back in 1979 after it has been occupied in 1967 war.

Clickbait idiotic headline. El Al has 1-2 flights a day into Thailand, carrying about 300-400 passengers each. 3 days after the war started at most there are about a thousand "refugees" - 90% of them had tickets and planned travel long before this conflict started.

 

As far as other stupidity on this thread goes: no - Israel did not shut down the airport. Foreign airlines have been canceling flights - but that's their decision - not imposed by Israel. El Al also codeshares with Thai airlines. And no- you're not going to see a massive refugee situation a la Russia/Ukraine - Israelis for the most part are safe and leading a semi-normal lifestyle aside from the military and reservists fighting.

The article is about the difficulty of Israeli tourists currently in Thailand returning as per scheduled due to flight disruption caused by the outbreak in hostilities at the weekend, nothing to do with your imagined refugee influx.

 

For the record re Ukranians, 22,452 in total came to Thailand from January to August this year, 51st lowest country in terms of arrivals, and less than the 27,135 Israeli tourists that came in the month of August alone.

Different reasons to return. Holidays ended. Need to return to work even in war. Different parts of Israel differently effected by the war. Called by the IDF as a reservist to fight the Hamas terrorists. 300,000 were called.

Whilst I don’t condone Hamas’s charter (actually, I condemn it), I think you have to balance cause and effect. It’s clear how this whole problem was created, and only those who created it can fix it.
