Why rich foreigners like me are spending much less in Thailand

Op makes extremely valid points...    Thailand is always spouting on about how it tries to attract higher net worth individuals, then makes them jump though stupid hoops... 

 

 

The issue of course is that the Op made the mistake of 'discussing that he has plenty of money' on this forum and that tends it irritate those who do not...

- Are jealous.

- Think the Op is boasting.

- Have such short attention spans they struggle to read a long post.

 

 

The Op does a good job of explaining how Thailand trips over itself where the basics are concerned and as soon as someone wants to 'colour outside of the existing limited and antiquated lines' many difficulties are encountered and convenience and service is not considered important.

 

A lot of the responses are typical of what can be expected from many who's attraction to Thailand is most certainly not about 'quality'.

Someone who claims to be so wealthy and who could therefore live anywhere in the word chooses to live in a lawless and corrupt-to-the-core country with generally poor infrastructure? Come on! I suppose though you could be both very rich and insane.

I refuse to send a copy of my passport to Lazada, yes.

 

There is no justification in asking for it in the first place.

Yes. Obama was very sharp. My issue with him is he was too willing to compromise.

 

Clinton for sure. He did an amazing job of running the economy and his foreign policy was better than most. 

 

Carter was an amazing man. But, he was a bit too noble for the office.

Seller showed as packed for 2 days so i sent a direct message to the seller. "Why so slow?"

 

Received a quick response.. "out of stock"

 

I initiated a refund request. The refund was posted to my Lazada Wallet by the end of the day.
